The Kinap Canoe and Kayak Club is located in West Porters Lake on Greenough Drive. The club was founded in 1982 and is a great community gathering space featuring a supervised public beach and Summer Day Camp and Paddling Programs. The club is run by a Board of community based volunteers and is always looking for new members.
The Summer Day Camp runs between July 3rd – September 1st inclusive and is open to children aged five to twelve. Camp runs Monday – Friday between the hours of 7am-6pm. The program is run by a team of summer students who are fully qualified and trained to ensure your child has both a fun and safe experience.
The Paddling Program is designed to allow participants to learn to paddle in a fun environment. The staff of CanoeKids certified instructors are ready to help teach participants how to paddle and have fun in the process. The program has different divisions and runs throughout the summer.
The club also has a Masters Paddling Program for people over the age of 18. The program is inclusive of all paddling abilities. Members meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from the end of May until the end of September.
