The cold clear waters of the Eastern Shore yield some of the best seafood in the province. Here’s a chance to sample it at its freshest – clams, mussels, lobsters and fresh fish along with traditional heritage foods such as Solomon Gundy, Seafood Chowder, and Fishcakes and Beans. There will also be some non-traditional items like locally brewed oyster stout!
Family activities include paint-your-own-buoy, dory rides, and a fun photo boat booth! Learn to row in the same dory that Eastern Shore residents Karl Richardson and Frank Stevens used to row around Nova Scotia. Traditional skills demonstrations include lobster trap building, net knitting, and fish smoking.
The Festival runs from 11 AM to 4 PM on June 3rd & 4th.
This is a rain or shine event with plenty of room inside buildings if the weather is poor.
