Ahoy! Are you ready to dive in and fill yer boots?
The cold clear waters of the Eastern Shore yield some of the best seafood in the province. This is your chance to sample it at its freshest – clams, mussels, lobsters and fresh fish along with traditional heritage foods such as Solomon Gundy, Seafood Chowder, and Fishcakes and Beans. There will also be some non-traditional items like locally brewed oyster stout!
Family activities include paint-your-own-buoy, dory rides, and a fun photo boat booth! Learn to row in a traditional dory. Traditional skills demonstrations include lobster trap building, net knitting, and fish smoking.
The Festival runs from 11 AM to 4 PM, June 1st & 2nd. All vendors are located on the Heritage Village grounds, with outdoor tables on the Village common. This is a rain or shine event with plenty of room inside buildings if the weather is poor.
All samples are purchased using festival "Taste Tickets". Each ticket is $2 and can be used to purchase sample or sharing sized portions. Not sure how many Taste Tickets you need? We've made it super easy to get you started with ticket bundles packaged according to your seafood stuffing capacity! Navigate your way over to coldwatersfestival.ca for all the tasty details.
Please Note: Memory Lane Heritage Village has free-roaming farm animals on site and does not allow pets within the Village grounds.
