Grab Your Plaid and Head for the Woods!
The Nova Scotia Forest Festival is back at Memory Lane Heritage Village on Saturday, October 1st.
The festival will run from 11 AM to 4 PM and is a celebration of all that our forests provide. The event culminates in the Golden Axe-throwing Competition which starts at 1:30pm. Local businesses will be going axe-head to axe-head to see who has the chops. See below for more details!
Visitors will have the chance to connect with Mi’kmaq presenters, watch horse-logging demonstrations with Hatfield Farms, enjoy a campfire with live entertainment, participate in guided nature walks with Community Forests International, sample maple syrup, try axe-throwing, and so much more!! Come and enjoy a wide variety of forest-focused activities in the fresh fall air!
The Nova Scotia Forest Festival is free admission and is rain or shine, so come on out no matter the weather!
