There is a place for motorized trails and I don’t deny the ATVers their right to have suitable recreation space for their ATV activities. Why is it that they want to deny me the right to have quiet safe place to walk or bicycle away from traffic and noisy machines – to enjoy nature and quiet reflection in a natural setting? These flat, open trails are ideal for walkers, hikers, cyclists, wheelchair users and especially those who cannot manage challenging wooded or mountain trails. They are not suited for true recreational vehicle riders except those who are looking to use them as a race track. These ATVers and Clr. Hendsbee are like those shortsighted smokers who think they should still be able to smoke in public places. Neither can do what they want without taking away the rights of others who wish to share the space without the pollution that will undoubtedly and negatively affect them.
