Shaker, a four piece band with over 125 years combined musical experience, has been together for over 9 years. They play Classic Rock from the 70’s to current, Blues, Country Rock and Rock. Song list includes many cover bands: CCR, U2, ZZ-top, Bad Company, Bryan Adams, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, Dwight Yoakum, and Johnny Cash.
Three of the band members, Jamie Miles, Willie Sullivan and Jerry Thomas, have played in many bands with over 40 years experience each. The fourth member, Danny Sullivan, began when Shaker was formed, and is the feature of the group on many levels.
Jamie Miles, the drummer, began his music career while still in school and played in bands Dakota and Drifter at a very young age with a current Shaker member, Willie Sullivan. After that Jamie went on as drummer with several known bands, and did some touring for some years. A few of these bands were Fast Forward, Main Street and The Persuaders.
Danny Sullivan, the lead vocalist and lead-rhythm guitarist, is the youngest band member (son of Willie). His unique vocals enable him the ability to sing a huge range of songs. His stage presence adds a great dynamic to the band. Danny also does duets as singer and acoustic guitarist with other musicians. He can play various instruments, having started his musical interests as a young boy. He had a lot experience with sound before he joined Shaker.
Willie Sullivan, the rhythm- lead guitarist and vocalist, also played in many bands including Dakota and Drifter, Southern Heat, Flash Backs, and Scott Free. The last band, Scott Free, was with current Shaker member Jerry Thomas.
Jerry Thomas, the base guitarist, has played in several bands including Stretcher, Oak Hill, DYM, and Scott Free, to name a few. He brings many years of experience to the mix.
Shaker has a great sound and a funky feel, captivating the audience and keeping them dancing and partying all night. They are sure to draw you in. Their song list is well over 100. Check them out on YouTube as “Shaker Shore Club”!
