Most of us hear of Haiti only when a natural disaster strikes. But what is it like at other times? Patricia Egli, a retired environment scientist, sailed to Île-à-Vache off the south coast of Haiti. In this presentation, she will take you on a visit of this island of palm trees, sunny beaches, and turquoise waters, introducing you to the daily life of the inhabitants. Through the story of one young man, you will learn about the achievements, hopes, and challenges of his community.
