On the April 2017 issue of the Cooperator, we reported that short stories by two students at Musquodoboit Rural High School had been selected for publishing in a book in a national contest run by Polar Expressions Publishing. The correct name for the grade 9 student is Ashton Kaspar. We regret the error. (The other student was Alessa Hounsell, grade 12.)

Painting Away for Mental Health

What would you do if the Royal Bank of Canada gave you $150 to spend on anything you wanted to improve life on the Eastern Shore? With her $150, Taylor Keizer put together a sold-out Paint Nite fundraiser at the Old School on February 4 to raise money for Eastern Shore Mental Health. “I was beyond pleased by the turnout,” said Keizer. “I would have been pleased to sell just one ticket!” The event raised almost $900 for ESMH.
