The 2019 Eastern Shore Mens Open Slo Pitch League season has come to an end in Musquodoboit Harbour. The league held its annual league playoffs with 11 teams playing for 2 divisional titles. The B Division was decided between The Wild and Harbour Yard Goats, with the Yard Goats (shown above) beating the Wild two straight games to take home the title in the Double knockout format. The deciding game had a final score of 13-11. Finals MVP went to Nick Power of the Yard Goats.
In the A final, it was a tight battle between the Schooners and Myrtles Turtles. The game was decided by just 1 run, 12- 11 with the Turtles (shown below) taking home their 5th straight title. Nick George was the Finals MVP for the Turtles. By winning their 5th straight title, the Turtles tie a long-standing league record of consecutive championships with the great Fence Buster teams of the early 2000’s.
