Blueberry Run Trail Upgrades
The Marine Riders Trail Association would like to advise all Blueberry Run trail users that construction to re-grade the existing railbed and improve trail drainage will begin September 23rd and it anticipated to take 6-8 weeks. Work will be completed in sections, beginning at Stella/Marine Drive, and continuing south towards Seaforth. For public safety, as work progresses, the current section of trail being restored will be closed to all users, and will be flagged with signage and barricades at the nearest trail entrances. We thank the public and all trail users for their understanding and support of this initiative to restore the Blueberry Run trail.

The NEW Marine Riders Trails Association
The newly formed Marine Riders Trails Association, previously known as the Marine Riders ATV Club, would like to invite all residents of HRM and the Porters Lake / Gaetz Brook / Seaforth and surrounding communities to attend our next General Meeting at the Seaforth Community Hall, 6060 Hwy 207, Seaforth, NS on Tuesday May 31 at 7:30 pm. The Marine Riders Trails Association was formed in April 2022 as a community trails organization that recognizes the health and social benefits of promoting a shared trail vision for users of all ages and abilities. As a community trails organization we promote healthy out-of-doors trail use for all users of all abilities, such as: mobility assist, walking, skiing, snowshoeing, cycling, equestrian and ATV’s. Our first priority is to work cooperatively with Trans Canada Trails, the Province , NS Trails and HRM and the local community to remediate and rebuild the Blueberry Run trail between Rutter Court and Highway 7 in Porters Lake. This will be a multi-year project from initial planning to completion with our hope to have “shovels in the ground” in the spring of 2024. In the meantime there’s lots of work to do and and and all who can contribute are welcome to help. So please come out and join us at our next general meeting, we’d love to see you all there!
