Gerald Webb
The Eastern Shore Cooperator sends its sympathy to the family of Gerald Webb of Tangier, who passed away in March at the age of 85. Through his collaboration with our correspondent Maelissa Watson, Gerald was the source of a number of stories in the Cooperator about life long ago on the Shore.
Gerald was a wonderful storyteller, keenly aware of the humorous situations that life dropped on his doorstep. With his story telling, he passed on local history that would otherwise have been lost. His stories enriched all of the readers of this paper. We are grateful to have been the beneficiary of his gifts, and regret that we will not be publishing any more of his delightful tales.
