The 30th annual Seaside Christmas shopping event, sponsored by Seaside Tourism & Business Association (STBA), takes place this year on November 15th, 16th, & 17th.
This event began in 1990 when Edyth and Dave Shuman and Adrien and Norma Blanchette put their heads together around the Shuman’s dining room table. From great beginnings in 1990 with ten different businesses participating, the event prospered and in ensuing years the number of businesses increased.
This year there are 23 different locations along Hwy 207 and Hwy #7 and many of the side roads along the way. Venues extend from Lawrencetown to Lake Charlotte with many points in between, offering a very large selection of unique Eastern Shore gift ideas. Several locations have multiple vendors.
We’ll also have a 30th anniversary kick-off reception on the Friday before the event (Nov. 8th) from 6-8pm at the Harbour Lites Seniors Club. We’d like to invite all past participants, and anyone else who’d like to come, to drop in, look at photos, watch a video and have a snack.
For complete details about this year’s Seaside Christmas see our ad and visit the STBA website to download a map and list of participant. Then follow the numbered wreaths outside participating vendors, and help support local businesses by buying local this holiday season.
