In my previous piece I mused upon the idea of attachment: how the manner in which I formed bonds with caregivers in my infancy and childhood could impact my emotional development as I made my way into adulthood. If I received loving care and acceptance as a child, I would be more likely to experience and nurture caring and loving relationships as an adult; be less fearful, less insecure, and more prepared to take risks. If I had negligent and/or ambivalent care from my primary caregivers, I might develop insecurities, fear new or unfamiliar situations, and be less trustful of others and of myself.

Summer hasn’t even arrived yet, but things are starting to open up at the Musquodoboit Harbour Railway Museum. Already open for business is the Whistlestop Gift Shop. Located in the Freight Shed at the Museum, the shop features crafts and gift idea made by crafters and artists from the region. They are open Thursdays to Sundays 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

On May 13, 202, MLA Kent Smith and Brendan Maguire, Minister of Advanced Education and Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, held a public meeting at the Rink to discuss the future of the Eastern Shore District High building. Smith announced that despite having shown interest in the building, NSCC had notified him that NSCC was no longer interested in the building.The first two videos deal with ESDH. The shorter 3rd video deals with Smith's interest in using Gaetz Brook Junior High as a temporary home for the students at l'École des Beaux Marais while the province constructs a replacement for the current Beaux Marais building in Porters Lake.
