One of the lesser known secrets of redeveloped Musquodoboit Harbour Library are the extraordinary community meals coming out of the Library’s weekly Friday morning “Cooking for the Community” class. Library Supervisor Juanita Marshall is the head chef. Participants get a free lunch at the end, but you need to register for these classes in advance.)
On October 25, Emily Glover, the Food Literacy Specialist for the entire HRM library system, stopped in and led the class in preparing a special three-course Greek meal, with a Greek salad, tzatzki, and chicken souvlaki. And for those who can’t make a weekday class, Glover also teaches the occasional class on Saturday mornings, so check the library schedule.
