Maurice E Holloway, the legendary pirate, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2019 in Ottawa at the age of 96. He was accompanied and comforted by his life partner, Fan, and his granddaughter Alexandra by his bedside.
Born in Swindon, England in 1923, Maurice came to Canada after he served as a pilot in the Royal Air Force in WWII. His passion was always his beloved island and community in Nova Scotia, where he found himself in peace and harmony with nature.
