The public health requirement for social distancing to fight Covid-19 can create a variety of social and emotional challenges. Now there’s a new, free program, “Cyber Social,” to provide education on how to maintain or improve health during this time through one-on-one telephone or video calls over a privacy-compliant health care platform.
Nova Salutem Inc., a health care company focused on psychological health and wellness will be providing a Registered Private Clinical Therapist to deliver this professional service. The focus of these phone or online sessions will be on each person’s situation, and how to meet their unique health and wellness needs. The program is possible due to the generous support and partnership of Community Links and The Old School Community Gathering Place.
Nova Salutem’s owner, Patricia Auchnie, said that seeking help can be hard. “Asking for what we need is one of the bravest things we will ever do,” she said. “We hope you can find your courage and give us a call today to chat.”
“Together, we will identify the areas in your life that you would like to improve,” Auchnie said, “including your living environment and your emotional, social, financial, intellectual, physical and spiritual health.”
People eligible for this free service live on the Eastern Shore and are 55 years old or older.
