By Rebecca-Sarah Potvin, Executive Director of L’Acadie de Chezzetcook
L’Acadie de Chezzetcook was delighted to welcome hundreds of community members to an Open House held from 12:00 to 4:00 PM on April 13 at the Chezzetcook Inlet Acadian Centre. The event highlighted the exciting progress of ongoing renovations and celebrated the deep Acadian roots that unite the region.
Visitors explored the refreshed space, discovered plans for future development, and filled the Centre with stories, laughter, and connection. The atmosphere was warm and vibrant, with people of all ages reflecting on the past while imagining a shared future.
We’re truly moved by the incredible turnout and the community spirit we felt today. It’s clear this place holds meaning for so many, and together we’re building something special.
We also extend a huge thank you to everyone who donated! We were able to raise $1,062, which will go directly toward the renovations.
Located on the historic site of Saint Anselm’s Church, the Centre is evolving into a welcoming hub for cultural, social, and economic activities, grounded in Acadian heritage.
Thank you to everyone who joined us. We look forward to welcoming you back as we continue to grow together.
