As we inch closer to Spring, visions of spending more time outdoors, and working on, and with the land come into focus. In an ever more digitized world, hands-on skills people once used on a day-to-day basis are slipping away.
However, that doesn’t mean that those skills are no longer useful. On the contrary, sharing these skills is needed now more than ever. We all have unique strengths, and communities become stronger when we listen and learn from each other.
If you have a skill you would be interested in sharing, or if you have a skill you are eager to learn, please reach out to us at the Deanery. This March and April, programs we are hosting include: a Music Jam and Open House March 5, an International Womxn’s day event March 8th, a Maple Tree Tapping workshop and Seeds & Scions exchange March 18th; Apple Tree Pruning workshop April 1st, and Grafting workshop April 15th. A blacksmithing “hammer-in” is also in the works for April.Thinking about March Break programs for kids? Keep an eye on our FB page.
