Dobbit Bakehouse closed its doors with a great farewell party on New Year’s Eve. The shop supplied the community for 15 years with wonderful breads, scones, pizza dough, cookies, treats, and coffee.
It was one of the anchor spaces for informal community meetings and hanging out. Owner Paul Nicholl employed dozens over the years. He won a national Baker of the Year award in recognition of his community service, especially with students from Eastern Shore District High. The Cooperator thank him for everything, and wish him good luck moving ahead, starting with some well-deserved rest.
