The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) sponsors an annual “Light the Night Walk” to raise funds and awareness. This year on October 22, there will be a short “Light the Night Walk” starting at the home of Allan Gaskin, 1763 East Petpeswick Road, starting at 6:45PM.
Gaskin is one of the Society’s two “honoured heroes” in this part of Atlantic Canada for 2022.
Gaskin says that he “can’t overstate the support we have received from the LLSC. It is like the feel of a warm sweater on a cool day.” Over the years, Gaskin says that he has “learned that one of the most valuable aspects of life is found in our relationships. I have been overwhelmed by the generosity, kindness, and love of so many people and for that I have immense gratitude.”
The East Petpeswick team is called “This Shining Night”. Donations can be made by going to https://www.lightthenight.ca/ clicking on “donate” and searching the team’s name.
