Musicfest Returns to the Museum
After a two year break for COVID, Musicfest, the annual fundraiser for the Musquodoboit Harbour Railway Museum, is returning with an exciting line up of talent. “People are beyond excited to see the return of music to the Shore,” says Brian Staple, the coordinator for the event. “We anticipate a large crowd showing up to celebrate with us and raise some money in support of the Museum.”
The event will be held at the Railway Museum grounds on Saturday, August 6th starting at 12:30 and continuing on until 4:30 that afternoon. The line up includes: Eric Manual & the Country Friends, Katie Gaetz’ Old Tyme Fiddle, Live Ware Gospel & Folk, RK Hammonf, Old School Rock and One Night Stand. In addition, the Musquodoboit and Area Lions Club will be on hand offing BBQ’d hamburgers and hot dogs. Admission is by donation.
“What sets this event apart,” says Brian, “is that we feature the talents of our local bands and performers. We have so much to offer and this event gives them an opportunity to showcase their skills.”
Everyone is welcome. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy an afternoon of music.
